It’s been three years since I have started this blog, and three years since the last time I posted something on Art of Food. I had originally set up this blog for a class assignment during my sophomore year of college (below it’s my original description).
I have now graduated, but I still have a great passion for art and food, and thanks to my classes, experiences and trips, I have gotten to learn much more about food and the ways in which we can use it to understand history, politics, cultures, language, etc. I will be picking up this blog again and keep talking about food and art, but I will also be talking about music, podcasts and much more. Stop by and feel free to comment! Enjoy!
I’m Sara, a student at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA.
This blog is a project for my world politics class. I’m going to be writing about two things that I’m really passionate about: food and art. I decided to combine these two things and create a blog that talks about food found in artworks. Every week, I’m going to be talking about different works of art, talk about the history of that particular food and link a recipe that is connected to the food represented in the artwork.
